CREBB Group is hiring a Commercial Real Estate Analyst Intern through the Ohio College Technology Internship Program, running November 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027. For a finance or real estate student this is unusually direct access: you will help decide what a building is worth, and you will do it alongside a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
The analyst identifies market conditions, builds analysis on individual properties, and helps shape pricing guidance. That output supports the sales team as it grows into other markets across North America, and it feeds the marketing team with owner data and market intelligence.
The work
- Researching commercial properties from county auditor records, zoning codes, and flood data, and building the packet behind a listing decision.
- Normalizing operating statements and abstracting leases and rent rolls.
- Deriving cap rates, sizing debt, and running the coverage screen that shows whether a property finances at the asking price.
- Researching comparables and maintaining the firm’s comparable database.
- Building broker opinion of value packages for the Managing Director’s review.
What we are looking for
Preferred academic background is real estate, real estate finance, finance, or business analytics. Commercial real estate databases, debt and lending databases, and AI research platforms are a large part of this position, so comfort moving between data sources matters. The analyst works under the direct oversight of the Managing Director, a Real Estate Salesperson, IBBA Business Broker, M&A Advisor, and Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with over twenty years in the field. Mentorship here is direct, not delegated.
How you will be measured
On analysis that holds up when someone acts on it. Every valuation packet is reviewed against the underlying records, and you will be expected to show your source for each figure. You will deliver a short written status each week covering what was analyzed, what was found, and what is blocked.
The appraiser path
For candidates who show strong fit for valuation work, a supervised path toward Ohio appraiser certification opens through Pointer Appraisal Services LLC, where the Managing Director serves as supervising appraiser. That assessment is made after one to two internship rounds, not at hire. Accruing experience hours requires registering as an Ohio Registered Appraiser Assistant, and the full credential runs well beyond these terms. It is earned, not granted at hire, and if it is the right match we will walk you through exactly what the timeline looks like.
