CREBB Group is hiring an M&A and Business Advisory Analyst Intern through the Ohio College Technology Internship Program, running November 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027. This is paid, part-time work at fifteen dollars an hour, helping Ohio business owners understand what their life’s work is worth.
CREBB Group advises business owners on the sale of their companies, from main street businesses such as HVAC contractors, machine shops, landscaping companies, and restaurant groups, up through lower middle market companies doing tens of millions in revenue. The firm also brokers the commercial real estate that often accompanies those transactions. For most of these owners, this is the largest financial event of their lives.
The work
- Recasting owner-operated financial statements to Seller’s Discretionary Earnings using investment banking style normalization.
- Building add-back schedules where every adjustment traces to a source document.
- Running valuation ranges against comparable transaction multiples by industry and revenue band.
- Determining whether a deal finances under SBA parameters before a listing is taken.
- Producing opinions of value at volume on a standardized model the analyst helps build.
- Researching, enriching, segmenting, and scoring owner and buyer records inside the firm’s database of thousands of market participants, to build qualified target lists within an assigned vertical.
That database work is not passive. The analyst contacts business owners directly to introduce the firm, gather company information, and qualify interest in a sale. Those conversations are the reason the analysis exists, and they are where the number on the tax return starts turning into the number that matters.
What we are looking for
Preferred major is finance or business analytics. Comfort in a spreadsheet matters, and so does being willing to pick up the phone. You will be talking to owners who have run a business for thirty years, so curiosity and plain speech go further here than polish.
How you will be measured
On analysis that survives scrutiny. Every add-back traces to a document, and you will be asked to show it. You will deliver a short written status each week covering what was analyzed, what was contacted, and what is blocked.
You leave this term able to recast a set of financials, defend a valuation range, and hold a real conversation with a business owner. That is a starting skill set most finance graduates do not have.
